Nestled in the mountains, the hotel offers a unique blend of tranquility and comfort. My stay began with a seamless check-in experience, which is always a pleasant way to kick off a trip. The spacious room was modernly furnished and meticulously clean, making it a great base for my motorcycle adventure through the stunning mountain passes. The serene location at the edge of the city provided a much-needed peace for a restful night's sleep. Breakfast was definitely a highlight, with a well-stocked buffet. I would have appreciated more variety, perhaps an omelette option alongside the boiled eggs, but it certainly filled me up for the day ahead. One tip for those arriving by train: Acla da Fontauna station is much closer than Disentis, so plan accordingly. The hotel even offers a free shuttle service, though it's a mere 8-minute stroll from the station. While the hotel doesn't have the newest façade, the overall elegance inside and attentive service make it worthwhile. The available amenities, including a bar and restaurant with good dining, add to the value. When considering luxury versus cost, this hotel strikes a commendable balance for nature lovers seeking both comfort and breathtaking surroundings.
